ITEKES Bali nursing student (Ners Profession Program), Ni Luh Putu Yuliani Sari has been selected to join the SAKURA Exchange Programme at Kobe Women’s University in Japan from the 7th – 16th January 2025. The SAKURA Exchange Programme aims to promote the exchange of science, technology and culture and introduce Japanese science and technology experiences to students, particularly those in the health sector. Some of the program activities are social welfare training in the dementia department, visits to nursing homes, introduction to elderly health care facilities, visits to educational institutions in Kyouto, visits to Nara Prefecture and the Hanshin Awaji museum.
Read More2 students and 1 lecturer from ITEKES Bali’s Bachelor of Applied Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine participated in the Student and Faculty Exchange program: Traditional Complementary Medicine (TCM) for 2 weeks, from July 8 – 20, 2024 in the National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS), Taiwan. During the 2-week program, ITEKES Bali team participated in various lectures and practical activities on traditional medicine, particularly acupuncture techniques and herbal medicine, also participated in cultural exchange activities with Taiwanese students and other foreign students from various countries.

Friday, May 10, 2024, participants of the ITEKES Bali Student & Faculty Exchange program: Health and Cultural Immersion 2024 from Saint Louis College (SLC), Thailand went to a field study in Wangaya Hospital and Puskesmas IV South Denpasar. The field study was carried out as part of the Student and Faculty Exchange 2024 program, in which the lecturer and students from SLC Thailand gained information about the health system and services in Indonesia, from level 1 health service facilities at the Public Health Centre (Puskesmas), to level 2 health facilities at the hospital. The field study was attended by 1 lecturer and 6 students from SLC Thailand, accompanied by ITEKES Bali lecturers and students.

The urgent need of health workers, especially care giver in Japan has brought a number of Japanese foundations came to Bali to offer cooperation in recruiting STIKES Bali graduates to work in Japan.
