BACHELOR OF MIDWIFERY

Bachelor of Midwifery program is 4 year (8 semesters) program. The maximum duration of study is 14 semesters. The program comprises 145 credit points of study. On successful completion of this course, students will be awarded the qualification of Bachelor of Midwifery / Sarjana Kebidanan (S.Keb). The students of bachelor of midwifery are expected to have ability and skills to apply midwifery care by utilizing IPTEKS in pregnant, childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding mothers, newborns, toddlers and family planning and reproductive health according to women’s life cycles under normal conditions. Students also expected to have skills as community mobilizers in the field of maternal and child health by utilizing IPTEKS through preventive and cross-program and cross-sectorial cooperation to improve maternal and child health by taking into account the potential, socio-culture and local resources. In addition, the graduates of this course are also expected to have the ability as a health educator related to maternal and child health by utilizing IPTEKS, to individuals, families, special groups.
