ITEKES Bali (Institute of Technology and Health Bali) was developed from a vocational school of nursing. The vocational school was established in Bali in 1983 by the Founding Fathers which now called as Yayasan Penyelenggara Pendidikan, Latihan dan Pelayanan Kesehatan Bali (YPPLPK Bali) or best known as the ITEKES Bali Foundation. Work to further expand the Nursing Vocational School began in 2003. The school was developed into an academy, which accepted high school graduates to be its students. At that time, the academy only offered a three-year Diploma program in Nursing. The nursing academy continued to develop and in 2005 offered two other courses, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (5 years program) and Diploma in Midwifery (3 years program). From then, the academy was changed into an institute and named STIKES Bali (Institute of Health Sciences Bali). The Institute of Health Sciences Bali continued to develop and on March 2019 STIKES Bali was upgraded into ITEKES Bali (Institute of Technology and Health Bali) which accommodates over 1.700 students. ITEKES Bali has 2 faculties: Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Health. There is 1 course offered under the Faculty of Technology – the Bachelor of Food Science, and 8 courses offered under Faculty of Health, namely: Bachelor of Nursing, Nurse (Ners) Profession Program, Master of Nursing, Diploma IV of Nursing Anesthesiology, Bachelor of Midwifery, Midwife Profession Program, Bachelor of Clinical and Community Pharmacy, Diploma IV of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.
