Visit from National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Science – Taiwan: Another Step to a Fruitful Cooperation

STIKES Bali welcome National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Science

               Institute of Health Sciences (STIKES) Bali was visited by the representatives of National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Science (NTUNHS) – Taiwan on Thursday, April 21st, 2017. The representatives from NTUNHS were Prof. Nan-Chen Hsieh, Ph.D (President / Rector of NTUNHS), Prof. Shu-Fang Wu, R.N., Ph.D (Director of Research Development Center) and Li-Ju Lin (Director of International Affairs). The visit aimed to initiate international cooperation in academic and cultural fields, including students and faculty exchange, joint teaching / training, research and publications. The signing of MOU between NTUNHS Taiwan and STIKES Bali was planned to be held in June 2017 at NTUNHS, Taipei – Taiwan.

               In addition, the visit was also meant to promote NTUNHS master and doctoral degree of Nursing and Midwifery department to STIKES Bali staffs, thus after having a meeting with STIKES Bali representatives, NTUNHS delegates conducted a discussion session for teaching staffs who would like to pursue master and/or doctoral degree of Nursing or Midwifery in NTUNHS.

               The President of STIKES Bali Foundation (PPLPK Bali) – Drs. Ida Bagus Arka stated that he strongly supports all lecturers of STIKES Bali to pursue a higher level of study. Furthermore, the Director of STIKES Bali – I Gede Putu Darma Suyasa, S.Kp. MNg. PhD also stated that by improving the education level of the lecturers, STIKES Bali will have the gear to improve the quality of education and accelerate the development of STIKES Bali to open new study programs which meet the demands of the society.
